Hi everyone! This is Leah from Inspire and Indulge here with you today. I’m so excited that Kelly has kindly invited me to guest post on her wonderful blog. For those of you that have been following my blog, you know that I’m in the middle of a Paleo challenge. For new readers, that means I’m eating like a caveman would (grass-fed meats, wild caught fish, nuts, veggies, etc) and sharing my Paleo-friendly recipes during the process.
Today I have a spectacular side-dish that anyone (Paleo or not) may like to indulge in. Baked chili lime sweet potato fries! The flavors are outstanding and they’re so easy to make.
Tip: Spraying the baking sheets is key! We’re not going to toss the fries in oil so make sure you spray enough oil on the sheet so the fries won’t stick.
Once all the fries have been spread out and coated, sprinkle on your chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Let them cool slightly and then squeeze the lime juice on top and enjoy!
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 large sweet potato
- olive oil spray
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 lime
- salt and pepper to taste
What to Do
- Preheating your oven to 400 degrees (F) and line two baking sheets with aluminum foil.
- Spray the aluminum foil with a nice coat of olive oil.
- Peel the sweet potato and cut into 1/4″ fries.
- Carefully lay your french fries on your baking sheets so that none of them are touching. This will help them get crispy.
- Sprinkle on the chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 15 minutes and flip the fries.
- Bake for another 10-15 minutes.
- Squeeze lime juice on top and serve.
